New Delhi: Herbalife India, in collaboration with NDTV, has launched the campaign Celebrate Life: Dil Se – A Journey of Hope and Empowerment, a powerful initiative that highlights how education, entrepreneurship, sports, and health can transform lives. From supporting students entering the high-tech world of data science to empowering para-athletes and improving children's health, Herbalife India's efforts reflect its deep commitment to inclusive growth and social well-being.
In partnership with IIT Madras, Herbalife offers 1,000 Data Science scholarships to aspiring learners from underprivileged backgrounds every year. The goal is simple yet profound to give bright, deserving students, half of them women the opportunity to pursue higher education and build future-ready skills without financial barriers.
As Professor Andrew Thangaraj, Chair, Code and Coordinator of the IIT Madras Bachelor of Science Program, explained:
The competition is what is limiting, not what we are teaching. Once we realised that, we thought we should offer a program like this. The combination of data science, ML, and computer science was ideal because it is something we could teach online. The primary goal for IITM was to reach the unreached.
For many students, financial constraints often stand between talent and opportunity. Herbalife's support ensures they can focus on learning and personal growth rather than worrying about fees or living costs. The company also extended its partnership to Paradox 2025, IIT Madras's annual student festival, where Herbalife's theme focused on holistic wellness and science-backed nutrition.
As Uday Prakash, Vice President, Market Strategy and Implementation, Herbalife India, noted:
It's not just about financial aid. We are engaging students through mentorship and wellness sessions, helping them understand why health is key. The theme ‘unlocking the secret of holistic wellness ‘aligns perfectly with our mission of helping people live their best life. That's where we can make a meaningful impact.
These scholarships represent more than academic advancement they symbolize empowerment for underprivileged students. When students gain confidence and access to quality education, they are not only transforming their own futures but also inspiring change in their communities.
Beyond education, Herbalife India is driving change in the world of sports by supporting para-athletes through its long-standing partnership with the GoSports Foundation. Through the Para Champions Program, Herbalife provides athletes with support for training facilities, mentorship, and access to essential equipment to help them perform at their highest potential.
Paralympic athlete Dharambir Nain, who competes in the men's club throw, shared:
I have been associated with Herbalife and GoSports Foundation since 2015. That was when I needed help the most. The Foundation supported me when no one else was thinking about para-athletes. Before the Rio Paralympics, GoSports provided me with a new wheelchair worth ₹3 lakh. With it, I improved my throw from 4 to 5 meters.
National gold medalist and boccia player Pooja Gupta echoed this sentiment:
Through the Para Champions Program supported by Herbalife, I received guidance from nutritionists, physiotherapists, and psychologists. Every athlete faces challenges, injuries, financial issues, or mental pressure. With Herbalife's support, I was able to focus on my game and play better.
Through such initiatives, Herbalife India underscores its belief that sports can be a powerful tool for inclusion, confidence, and equality.
Herbalife India's commitment to community well-being also extends to children's health. In partnership with the Netram Eye Foundation, the company launched Project Roshni, a school health initiative aimed at improving the physical and mental well-being of children in government schools.
So far, over 20,000 students across 64 government schools have been screened for vision, hemoglobin levels, and overall physical health. Experts also conduct awareness sessions on eye care, nutrition, and mental wellness for both students and teachers.
As Uday Prakash explained:
Screen time among children has increased dramatically, compounded by nutritional deficiencies. At Herbalife, we are deeply committed to improving healthcare access for underserved communities. Through these school health camps, we conduct anaemia and vision checks, provide health cards, and raise awareness on preventive care.
Whether through education, sports, or health, Herbalife India's CSR initiatives share one unifying message—when people are supported, they rise. From rural students aspiring to be data scientists, to para-athletes defying odds, to school children receiving better healthcare, Herbalife India is creating opportunities for every individual to thrive. Rooted in science, community, and purpose, Herbalife India continues to champion a future where living your best life is within everyone's reach.
