India Means An Enormous Amount To Me, Says Rishi Sunak
"I am perfectly happy in the UK. India means an enormous amount to me; it means a lot to the UK. My family came from India to UK via East Africa. I took my oath on the Bhagavad Gita. I have a Ganesha idol on my desk. My wife is a South Indian and I am a Punjabi, but it's not as dramatic as the movie Two States," former UK PM Rishi Sunak said at the NDTV World Summit 2025.
Speaking about his wife Akshata Murty, he said he proposed to her on a cliff in California in Kannada.
