Rishi Sunak Speaks On Technology, Need For Regulations
"Telephone, electricity and other tech took decades, ChatGPT took just two months to reach the 100 million user mark," said Rishi Sunak on technology leapfrogging.
"Outside of the European Union, the freedom we have is the regulatory flexibility. We have not imposed restrictions. This technology is moving so quickly. But that said, it's important for governments to ensure the safety of the citizens. So corrective action can be taken. So the attitude should be pro-innovation. But we need to ensure safeguards from security risks," he added.
