Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi Among 40 Star Campaigners For Congress In Andhra Pradesh

The Congress party on Thursday informed the Election Commission that Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge are among 40 star campaigners who would canvass for the party in Andhra Pradesh for the May 13 polls.

After a voter turnout of over 65% in the first and biggest phase of the Lok Sabha elections, all eyes are now on Phase 2, which will see voting take place in 88 seats from 13 states and UTs. The fate of many big faces will be decided in this phase.

The Karnataka High Court has granted interim relief to Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar, facing charges of model code violation during the campaign for the Lok Sabha elections.

The second phase of the 2024 Lok Sabha election begins this morning with voting in 89 constituencies across 13 states and union territories, including all 20 of Kerala's seats, 14 of Karnataka's 28, and 13 of Rajasthan's 25.
