The assembly elections in Maharashtra have shed light yet again on the BJP's resilience and successful strategising after a setback.

Four hours into the counting of votes for Maharashtra Assembly polls, the BJP-led Mahayuti seems set for a landslide win, bouncing back emphatically from its setback in the Lok Sabha polls this year

The BJP-led Mahayuti has scored a massive victory in Maharashtra while the INDIA Opposition bloc has retained Jharkhand in the Assembly polls. Besides the Assembly polls, results of bypolls to 48 Assembly and two Lok Sabha seats were also declared.

The voter count in Mumbai has crossed the one crore mark, up from 98.95 lakh during the Lok Sabha polls held earlier this year, a civic official said.

Voting for the Jharkhand assembly elections phase 1 is being held today with 43 of the state's 81 seats up for grabs.

'Vote jihad' and fake narratives will not work in the upcoming Maharashtra election and the Mahayuti alliance will return to power after the November 20 polls, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said today.
