Lok Sabha Election Fifth Phase Voting Highlights: 60.09% Voting In Phase 5 Of Lok Sabha Polls

Voters from 49 constituencies across six states and two Union Territories voted in the fifth phase of the Lok Sabha polls today.

Jailed separatist Amritpal Singh, who is contesting from the Khadoor Sahib seat in Punjab as an Independent candidate, has been allotted the poll symbol of "'mike'.

Voting in 49 constituencies across 6 states and 2 Union Territories to decide the fates of many key leaders was held today -- Union Ministers and party chiefs. Among those in fray are Smriti Irani, Rahul Gandhi, Chirag Paswan and Omar Abdullah.

Polling for the fifth phase of the Lok Sabha election began today with voting taking place in 49 seats across six states and the union territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.

The Congress' Chandigarh candidate Manish Tewari on Sunday came out with a city-specific manifesto, promising 20,000 litres of free water every month to people and 300 units of free electricity to families with a monthly income of up to Rs 20,000.
