Did you know a total of 19 places in Australia have been chosen as World Heritage Sites by UNESCO? And Sydney's iconic Opera House is one of them.?
Believe it or not, some 233 designs were submitted for the Opera House design competition which was held in 1956 and somewhere in January 1957, Danish Architecture, Jorn Utzon was announced as the winner. He won £5000 for his design. Some great work there!
Too cute to handle! #GLAadventure captured this gorgeous scene at Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary in Queensland, which is home to lots of Australian animal species including kangaroos, dingoes, wombats and crocodiles.
Quick Fact: Known as the koala "bear," this cuddly animal is not a bear at all. It is infact a marsupial, or pouched mammal. Whatever it is, one simply cannot afford to leave Australia without snuggling up with one of these warm and fuzzy Aussie mates.

It's a cosmopolitan town with a population of 3,500 and is 846 km north of Adelaide. It was established in 1915 following the discovery of opal here. Did you know ninety five per cent of the world's opal comes from this area?
Been There And Done That - Uluru
Apparently, Uluru is the first official stop for everyone who visits Australian Outbacks and is on many people's bucket lists.
Uluru is better known as Ayers Rock and is named by William Gosse in 1873 after Sir Henry Ayers. The first sight of the mighty Uluru on the horizon will amaze even the most jaded traveller! This enormous rock was created over 600 million years ago, and the Aborigines have been in the area for the last 10,000 years. Originally it sat at the bottom of a sea, but today it stands 348m above ground.
