After #GLAadventure's fantastic experience at the Uluru national park, it was time to discover other famous things in Australia's outback. On the schedule is a visit to Alice Springs Desert Park and Old Ghan Heritage Railway museum.

Alice Springs is located in the Red Centre of Australia adjacent to the Simpson Desert and is well known for its laid-back charm.

35,000 Kilometres done and dusted! Team #GLAadventure achieves another milestone.

Finally #GLAadventure makes its way to Alice Springs. Doesn't the Northern Territory flag complement the colour of #GLAadventure cars?

Tips for the travellers: If you can spend only one day in Alice Springs, make it a day at the Desert Park. You can thank team #GLAadventure later.

The Alice Springs Desert Park is like a botanical garden, a zoo, a centre for Aboriginal culture and an environmental conservation institute, all rolled into one.

This park is also home to native animals of central Australian desert environment. It contributes to their conservation through research programs as well as through public education.

#GLAadventure's recommendation: Want to spend a day relaxing? There's nothing better than the Alice Springs Desert Park.

Another famous attraction at the Alice Springs is ?The Old Ghan Railway' museum.

Regarded as one of the world's greatest rail journeys, The Ghan is known to provide access to those parts of Australia that no other holiday can ever come close to.

The Old Ghan Heritage Railway is located at MacDonnell Siding, 10km south of Alice Springs, here there is a 1930s-style railway station built from the plans originally intended for Stuart (Alice Springs). The display area includes the station, museum, souvenir shop, tea rooms and restored locomotives and carriages. It's an amazing place with great history!

When at Alice Springs, you will also see the massive giants of the Aussie highways - Road Trains.

Did you know Australia has the largest and heaviest road-legal vehicles in the world? Just look at this massive beauty!

This one is a memorial to those killed at this spot in a major accident during the first Northern Territory Cannonball Run in 1994.

#GLAadventure's Australian outback's journey continues, next stop will be Coober Pedy.
