Are you someone who loves nature and loves to spend time with animals? Here are some unique places in the world that you should definitely visit once in your lifetime.

Location 1: Costa Rica
Believe us or not, Costa Rica is something like going on a holiday to Heaven! It is home to more than 500,000 species and some ninety percent of the area consists of only virgin forests - that makes it one of the 20 countries with the highest biodiversity in the world.

Not only that, because of all kinds of forest in Costa Rica it is also home to a wide variety of mammals, amphibians, reptiles, birds, and insects. You will find howler monkeys everywhere in Costa Rica. Quiet literally!

And for all the dogs' lovers out there - there is a place in Costa Rice which is home to some 900 stray dogs - all of whom are available for adoption. The place is called Territorio de Zaguates (Land of the Strays) and yes, you can visit the place and play with these bundles of joy.

Location 2: Sloth Sanctuary in Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica
Sloth Sanctuary strives towards improvement in sloth research and conservation and is being run by one big family. The Sloth Sanctuary of Costa Rica is also the original rescue center for injured, orphaned and abandoned sloths - which is a very common animal in Costa Rica since 1992.

Location 3: Desert Park In Alice Springs, Australia
If you are in Australia just for one day, make sure you spend a day at the Desert Park and nowhere else. The Alice Springs Desert Park is like a botanical garden, a zoo, a centre for Aboriginal culture and an environmental conservation institute, all rolled into one.

What you will see here: From red kangaroos to famous Australian birds, this park is home to all the native animals of central Australian desert environment.

Location 4: Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary in Queensland
It's here where you will get your dose of cuteness and more!
Founded in 1927 and recognised by the Guinness Book of World Records the Lone Pine sanctuary is the world's oldest and largest Koala rescue centre with over 85 years of experience. It's also one of the very few places where you are actually allowed to hold a koala. PS: Brisbane is one of the only two states in Australia (The other one is South Australia) where you're actually allowed to hold a koala.

Apart from 130 Koala bears, there are a bunch of other Aussie wildlife animals that you can spot here including kangaroos, native Australian birds, hairy nosed wombat and platypus.

Location 5: Head of Bight, Australia
The Head of Bight is an experience of a lifetime! It is one of the most spectacular whale watching sites in the world. It is a unique geographical site where a large field of sand dunes intersects a towering chain of limestone cliffs. During peak season which is from 1 June to 31 October - one can watch over 100 whales at one time. Other animals you can spot here are white pointers, sea birds, Australian sea lions and on the land, you might see dingoes, wombats, many sleepy/shingled lizards, snakes and wild camels.

Location 6: Blue Mountains National Park
The unique plants and animals that live here narrate an extraordinary story of the evolution of Australia's unique eucalypt vegetation, plants and animals. It's an area of some breathtaking views, rugged tablelands, sheer cliffs, deep, inaccessible valleys and swamps.

Located in New South Wales and approximately 80 km west of Sydney, Blue Mountains National Park is one of the most scenic places in Australia. The park is best known for the Three Sisters, a rock formation that towers 900 meter (3000 foot) above the Jamison Valley. This place has several large mammal species, the largest native carnivorous predator is the tiger quoll and the largest bird of the area is the emu.
