On the first day of her visit, Shakira who is the Goodwill Ambassador of UNICEF, met around thirteen school girls in the State Institute of Educational Training and Research.

The Colombian star is presently staying in hotel Udaivilas.
She will perform at the island palace of Jagmandir, where Shahid Kapoor and Adnan Sami will join her.
This is Shakira's second visit to India after 2007.
