T20 World Cup: Josh Hazlewood, David Warner Power Australia To 8-Wicket Win against West Indies

T20 World Cup: Australia thrashed West Indies by 8 wickets in a Group 2 match at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Saturday.

Josh Hazlewood made a strong comeback after he was taken to the cleaners in his first. He delivered the goods with the ball for the Aussies, taking four wickets, and returning figures of 4/39.

Evin Lewis got his team off to a bright start as West Indies raced to a score of 24/0 after two overs. He was later dismissed after a knock 29 off 26 balls.

Kieron Pollard played a captains knock after the Windies had lost wickets in quick successions. His knock of 44 off just 31 balls helped West Indies to reach a total of 157/7.

David Warner played one of the finest knocks of his career, guiding his team to a dominant win. Despite losing his opening partner, Finch, Warner kept his cool and smashed the Windies bowlers all over the park. His knock of 89* (56) was laced with nine boundaries and four sixes.

Mitchell Marsh was involved in a 124-run partnership with Warner, and smashed a brilliant half-century. He was dismissed after a knock of 53 off just 32 balls by Chris Gayle.
