#GLAadventure's first stop for the day is at Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary in Queensland, it's one of the only two states in Australia (The other one is South Australia) where you're actually allowed to hold a koala.

Recognised by the Guinness Book of World Records, Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary is the world's first and largest koala sanctuary, with over 85 years of experience and 130 koalas.

Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary is less than an hour away from the Gold Coast. Apart from 130 Koala bears, there are a bunch of other Aussie wildlife animals that you can spot here.
From kangaroos, possums to wombats and birds, the sanctuary is really a treat for all nature lovers.

And this is the Hairy nosed wombat, it is one of three species of wombats and is one of the rarest land mammals in the world.
