The Health Ministry has asked all states to ensure that hospitals that are treating COVID-19 patients keep them separately from other patients to avoid the spread of the disease. It said India has been importing ventilators and other medical items to ensure enough of them are available across the country. The ministry said it is monitoring the COVID-19 situation round-the-clock. The ministry has asked states to ensure only essential supplies move between state borders and to avoid mass gatherings.
