Will Supply Cauvery Water To Bengaluru "By Hook Or By Crook": DK Shivakumar

Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar on Thursday said that he will make sure the supply of Cauvery river water to the residents of Bengaluru by "hook or by crook".

Altogether 50,842 government employees have been deployed for conducting polls in the state.

India is all set for Lok Sabha elections with 28 states and eight Union Territories going to polls. The seven-phase Lok Sabha elections will begin on April 19.

Over 16.63 crore voters in 1.87 lakh polling stations across the country will decide the fate of 1,625 candidates in the first phase of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections on Friday.

The campaigning for the first phase ended yesterday evening for 102 Lok Sabha seats across 21 states and Union territories which will go to polls in the first phase tomorrow.

The 2024 manifesto is markedly different from previous versions. There are 52 photographs of PM Modi. A key departure from previous documents is the prominence given to Hindu religious symbols, including the Ram Temple.
