The Election Commission has asked concerned Chief Electoral Officers and state authorities to take adequate measures to manage the adverse impact of hot weather or rainfall wherever predicted in the sixth phase of Lok Sabha polls.
The sixth and penultimate phase of polling for the 2024 Lok Sabha election begins this morning with voting in 58 seats across six states and two union territories, with the focus on national capital Delhi's seven seats.

The Congress needs to up its game in this phase as it couldn't even open its account in 2019. For the BJP, it's largely a matter of maintaining, as well as gaining.
Over 11 crore voters will decide the fate of 889 candidates contesting in the penultimate phase of the Lok Sabha elections across 58 seats.
