Assembly Bypoll Election Results Live: The BJP and the AAP have won one seat each in the Gujarat Assembly by-elections, while the Congress-led UDF has won the Nilambur constituency in Kerala. The counting of votes for bypolls -- that were held on June 19 for two seats in Gujarat's Visavadar and Kadi, and one each in Nilambur, Punjab's Ludhiana West, and West Bengal's Kaliganj -- began Monday morning.

AAP's Gopal Italia has won the Visavadar seat, while BJP's Rajendra Chavda has secured victory in Kapi.

The Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP is also ahead in Ludhiana West, and Mamata Banerjee's Trinamool Congress is leading in Kaliganj, according to the latest trends available on the Election Commission of India website

The bypolls were necessitated after the deaths of the incumbent legislators in one seat each in Gujarat, West Bengal and Punjab, and the resignation of two MLAs in Kerala and Gujarat.

Nilambur Election Results: Priyanka Gandhi On Congress' Kerala Seat Victory
Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, who is a Lok Sabha MP from Kerala's Wayanad, has congratulated her party colleague Aryadan Shoukath on his victory in the by-election in Nilambur in the state.

She thanked the people of Nilambur for their trust in the United Democratic Front's (UDF) vision and expressed confidence that their support would guide the party forward.

"We worked as a team, each one with commitment and single-pointed focus, that is the most important lesson of this success. Heartiest congratulations to Aryadan Shoukath whose dedication and service has shone through and to all the leaders and workers of the UDF whose efforts made this victory possible," she wrote on X.

"Most of all a big thank you to my sisters and brothers of Nilambur for your support. Your trust and belief in the values of our constitution, and in the UDF's vision for progress will be the guiding light for our way forward," Ms Gandhi added.

Visavadar Election Result 2025: Final Results Of Gujarat Bypoll
As per the final results by the Election Commission, AAP's Gopal Italia polled 75,942 votes and defeated BJP's Kirit Patel by 17,554 votes. Congress' Nitin Ranpariya, with 5,501 votes, was in third place.

"Boosts Morale Of Party Workers": Manish Sisodia As AAP Clinches Gujarat Seat, Nears Win In Punjab

As AAP's Gopal Italia won the Visavadar seat in Gujarat and his party colleague, Sanjeev Arora, inched closer to victory in the Ludhiana West by-election, Punjab's AAP in-charge, Manish Sisodia, said it is a "matter of great joy" for every party worker. 

"Both seats are very important... This boosts the morale of AAP workers in Punjab. People of Punjab have given their stamp of approval on the works done by the Bhagwant Mann government. They are happy with the work being done," he told the news agency ANI.

"It was being discussed in Punjab that these are semi-finals. We have won the semi-final, it is now time for THE final," he said, while referring to the Punjab assembly elections in 2027.

He also praised Mr Italia and said he is a "sharp leader".

"He will emerge as a strong voice," Mr Sisodia, the former Delhi deputy chief minister, said.

The Congress has won the Nilambur Assembly by-election in Kerala, in a blow to the Pinarayi Vijayan-led LDF government.

Aryadan Shoukath, the Congress-led UDF candidate, received more than 77,000 votes and defeated his nearest rival, M Swaraj of the ruling CPI(M), by over 11,000 votes.

Assembly Bypoll Result 2025 Live Updates: AAP's Gopal Italia Wins Visavadar Seat

AAP's Gopal Italia has won the Visavadar seat by defeating his nearest rival, BJP's Kirit Patel, by more than 17,000 votes.

While Mr Italia received over 75,000 votes, Mr Patel got more than 58,000 votes.

The Visavadar seat fell vacant in December 2023 after the then AAP legislator Bhupendra Bhayani resigned and joined the ruling BJP.

Ludhiana West Bypoll: AAP's Sanjeev Arora Now Leads By 4,748 Votes

AAP candidate Sanjeev Arora is now leading with a margin of 4,748 votes against his nearest rival and Congress nominee Bharat Bhushan Ashu from the Ludhiana West assembly seat, according to the Election Commission website.

He has so far polled 22,205 votes and Mr Ashu 17,457 votes.

BJP's Jiwan Gupta is on the third spot with 13,882 votes.
