The Trump 2.0 cabinet is taking shape ahead of Donald Trump's grand return to the White House two months later. The President-elect, who swept all seven swing states and won a decisive victory against his Democratic rival Kamala Harris, has already appointed one of his biggest supporters, billionaire Elon Musk, to head the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), alongside aide Vivek Ramaswamy. He is now on a spree naming other top aides who will chalk out the government strategy for the next four years.

'Dogecasts' To Give Weekly Updates About Elon Musk, Vivek Ramaswamy's Ministry
Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy, who have been nominated in-charge of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), have announced that they will livestream every week to update the American public on the progress of the works by the department. "Our goal is to shave the size of government and to be as transparent as possible with the public. Weekly 'Dogecasts' will start soon," Mr Ramaswamy said. "DOGE's job is to create a government of a size and scope that our founders would be proud of. Elon Musk and I look forward to fulfilling the mandate given to us by President Trump," he said.

Indian-American politician Vivek Ramaswamy, who along with Tesla owner Elon Musk has been nominated in-charge of the Department of Government Efficiency, has indicated a massive cut in federal government jobs in the United States. "Elon Musk and I are in a position to start the mass deportations of millions of unelected federal bureaucrats out of the DC bureaucracy. That, too, is how we're going to save this country," Mr Ramaswamy said at an event in Florida. "I don't know if you've got to know Elon yet, but he doesn't bring a chisel. He brings a chainsaw. We are going to be taking it to that bureaucracy. It's going to be a lot of fun," he said.

Zelensky made the remarks during an interview with public broadcaster Suspilne, where he reflected on US-Ukraine ties and past discussions with Trump about the conflict. Zelensky emphasised the alignment of Ukraine's position with Trump and said that Trump "has heard the basis on which we stand. I have not heard anything against our position."

President-elect Donald Trump has named Steven Cheung, who ran his media relations during his campaign and was the chief spokesperson, as White House head of communications in the incoming administration. Trump announced on Friday that Cheung "will be returning to the White House as Assistant to the President and Director of Communications". During Trump's first term, he was the Special Assistant to the President and Director of Strategic Response, in charge of dealing with challenges that arose and planning to respond to upcoming issues.

President-elect Donald Trump has announced 27-year-old campaign spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt as his White House press secretary. Ms Leavitt "is smart, tough and has proven to be a highly effective communicator. I have the utmost confidence she will excel at the podium, and help deliver our message to the American People," Trump said in a statement. Ms Leavitt will become one of the youngest people to take the key position, acting as the face of the White House and fielding questions from the media.
