CJP Protest In Delhi LIVE Updates: Activist Sonam Wangchuk ended his 26-day fast at Gurugram's Medanta Hospital late on Thursday night. Union Ministers JP Nadda and Jitendra Singh, along with Wangchuk's wife, Gitanjali Angmo, were present.
"I'm grateful and happy to break my fast. Thank you," Wangchuk is heard saying while holding the hands of Nadda and Singh.
The move comes soon after Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a video message, promised that more action would follow in paper leak cases.
Wangchuk had been on a 26-day hunger strike in support of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP).
Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Thursday that "The welfare and interest of the country's youth are the top priority of the government and anyone trying to harm their future will not be spared."

The researchers propose that inhaled micro- and nanoplastics may hitch a ride with these particles, crossing the delicate air sacs of the lung, called alveoli, and entering the bloodstream far more readily than previously thought.
Delhi government directs schools to conduct year-long activities educating students on air pollution causes and health impacts.
