Our Campaign Aims To Question The Unfair Beauty Test Women Are Subjected To: Sanjiv Mehta of Unilever

Sanjiv Mehta, Chairman and Managing Director, HUL and President, Unilever South Asia, shared the findings of the Dove Beauty Test Report that found how deep rooted the biases based on looks are and says that Dove wants to inspire women and drive the thought process that each human being is distinct, and every woman should be proud of and feel confident about themselves. Mr Mehta also said that Dove never photoshops or digitally distorts images of women who are part of their campaigns and insisted that definition of beauty needs to be widened and respect each individual for who they are.

About The Campaign

An alarming 9 out of 10 single women in India feel that they are judged and rejected based on their looks during the marriage process, 68% also believe these rejections affect their self-esteem and confidence.

This is where #DoveIndia’s #StopTheBeautyTest campaign comes in. Come, let's celebrate beauty in all shapes, colours, and sizes and pledge to create a more accepting society where there is no one particular definition of beauty.

Take The Pledge

It's time society takes notice of how ugly the quest for beauty really is.

Dove believes if we look beyond tall, slim and skin colour, we will discover a whole new world of beautiful.

Take the pledge to #StopTheBeautyTest
