It is a pleasure for ChildFund to be an implementation partner for Amphan relief. The state needs us so much. The work we do in Bengal has escalated now. We all know how bad it has been with Amphan and COVID-19. I truly believe that we all share the same stars. But even there we live in different situations, there are haves and have nots. There are 35 lakh people in Sundarbans who have been completely devastated. We must all come forward and become part of the solution. Absolutely nothing is left for the people there.

Establishing temporary homes, shelter materials will be provided
Food Baskets
Each basket will serve a family of 5 members with nutritious food items for 15 days
Hygiene & Sanitation
Safe drinking water & hygiene material to prevent COVID-19 infection. Awareness on community water, sanitation and hygiene to prevent water-borne infections
Livelihood Restoration
Of marginal farmers and returnee migrant workers. The support includes seeds and fertiliser for the Kharif crop season, restoration of Pan Boroj (betel leaves cultivation), poultry farming support for landless poor and other need-based livelihoods restoration activities
For Children
Home-based learning and activity kits for children as part of psychosocial support
