I think COVID was a silent threat. Each one of us who live in this part have a connection with Sundarbans. The visuals showing the conditions in which people are in right now, there is no drinking water, no shelter, no roof on their head. Above all, there is COVID-19 situation.
Even during this situation, the number of volunteers who have come forward, is a heartening sight. It will go a long way to restore the faith and confidence of the people there who are suffering the most.

Shelter Materials
Establishing temporary homes, shelter materials will be provided
Food Baskets
Each basket will serve a family of 5 members with nutritious food items for 15 days
Hygiene & Sanitation
Safe drinking water & hygiene material to prevent COVID-19 infection. Awareness on community water, sanitation and hygiene to prevent water-borne infections
Livelihood Restoration
Of marginal farmers and returnee migrant workers. The support includes seeds and fertiliser for the Kharif crop season, restoration of Pan Boroj (betel leaves cultivation), poultry farming support for landless poor and other need-based livelihoods restoration activities
For Children
Home-based learning and activity kits for children as part of psychosocial support
