Digital Payment Structure In India Is 5 years Ahead of US: Amitabh Kant

As part of the launch event of NDTV-Mastercard Cashless Bano India campaign, which aims to take the message of a cashless India to the country, Amitabh Kant, CEO, Niti Aayog, said that it is important for us to move towards digital payments. While complimenting NDTV and MasterCard for the initiative, he pointed out that we are on the threshold of major technological revolution. "My view is that in the next 3 to 4 years, India will technologically leap forward, with most of us using iris or thumb impression to make transactions. Every person with a mobile will become a walking ATM."

NDTV along with MasterCard is launching a multi-platform campaign “Cashless Bano India”, to create digital awareness and educate the masses about digital payment solutions for day to day transactions.

The campaign aims to take the message of a cash free India to the country, and will charter a blue print which can help all stakeholders to become a part of the digital revolution.
